Sherrica A. Sucipto
BIM & CAD Manager
Sherrica A. Sucipto graduated as the top student with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Trisakti University. During her studies, she actively enhanced her skills in advanced structural design, detailing, and BIM. Her academic journey was further enriched through an internship at Adhi Karya, where she gained practical experience in construction execution. This allowed her to better understand the practical aspects of construction and highlighted the importance of constructibility in structural design.
Based on these experiences, Sherrica demonstrates her technical proficiency and dedication at SSI. Her impressive performance has led to involvement in significant projects, such as designing a 32-story office building and a vertical mixed-use irregular structure of B Residence Grogol. She has also contributed to the detailed steel structure designs for various projects, including cinemas, cafes, and building entrance canopies. Beyond these, she has been involved in residential timber structure projects in Australia, showcasing her adaptability across different structural systems.
Sherrica’s expertise in BIM has been a critical aspect of her work, highlighted by her development of the 3D model for the OCS Marketing Gallery. This project featured a complex, zig-zag, and folded roof structure, reflecting her advanced modeling skills. She also applied her BIM expertise to residential projects in Melbourne, integrating structural and architectural designs to achieve seamless coordination and accuracy.
In response to the growing demand for structural assessments, Sherrica has developed specialized knowledge in ASCE 41, enabling her to perform comprehensive building structural assessments. Her skills include post-earthquake evaluations, SLF assessments, and advanced nonlinear analyses, all of which are critical for ensuring the structural safety and performance of buildings under various conditions to provide detailed and reliable evaluations.
At SSI, Sherrica took the initiative to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for BIM implementation that optimize workflows and enhance project outcomes. She now serves as the BIM and CAD Manager, leading her team in creating precise 2D and 3D visualizations that bring design models to life. She ensures every detail aligns with current standards while providing clients with results that make project execution successful and efficient, supporting SSI’s goal of delivering high-quality structural designs.
Besides her professional work, Sherrica has contributed to academia by presenting publications at national and international conferences. Her research explored how revisions to design codes can affect the detailing and requirements for reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures.
As part of her professional journey, Sherrica is a member of Himpunan Ahli Konstruksi Indonesia (HAKI) and American Concrete Institute (ACI). She has also participated in various ACI Certificate Programs, gaining deeper knowledge in topics such as concrete and materials, constructability, anchor design, and repair application procedures, which has helped her become an ACI certified structural engineer.
Due to her specialization in BIM and detailing, Sherrica has also been involved in the development of SNI standards for reinforced concrete detailing, SNI 6816:2024.
